“Most of the time we just had to be patient and pick the right time to be able to open up,” Johnson said. “We didn’t want to rush into a season and then regret it because of a COVID resurgence.”

To date, five shows have been announced for 2021. According to Johnson, Dayton Masonic Live expects six or seven more shows to be announced for the 2021 season. Tickets for all scheduled shows are now on sale at

The space, larger than the Victoria Theater but smaller than the Schuster Center, will focus heavily on national, contemporary and live music artists, Johnson said.

While this season can only host around 12 shows, according to Johnson, it’s possible the venue will have a 75-performance lineup next year. Dayton Masonic Live’s long-term goal, however, is to put on 100 shows per year starting in 2023.

Food from Pizza Bandit and a full service bar will be available for purchase during concerts.
