Here’s Why Republic TV Founder Arnab Goswami Swears To Sound Like A ‘Completely Beaten Record’

Republic TV founder Arnab Goswami has often been criticized for not allowing his guests to speak on his show. It was no different this week when he invited a group of guests to his TV channel to discuss comments made by Trinamool Congressman Mahua Moitra for Goddess Kaali. The controversial anchor stunned her viewers and guests by vowing to ring a broken record.

Goswami kicked off his TV show with a monologue saying, “Those superficial elements, politicians also say ‘enlighten, enlighten’ about comments on the portrayal of Goddess Kaali. Thing is, viewers, I haven’t heard them say “chill up, kick back, kick back” in any prior context. Do you viewers, I didn’t and that’s why these people are and always will be wrong.

Drawing a parallel to how the BJP had removed Nupur Sharma from main membership because of his comments for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Goswami asked a Trinamool Congress spokesperson: “Hindu feelings are not don’t they matter?

Goswami turned his attention to another guest asking if Mahua Moitra was not a serial offender. The guest tried to answer, but was repeatedly interrupted by the Republic TV founder, who repeated his identical question multiple times.

Annoyed by Goswami’s heckling, the guest in question advised the Republic TV founder to “control his anxiety”. The guest added, “I answer. You can’t ask the question and wait for the answer, so why don’t you answer yourself?”

Goswami rephrased her question and asked, “Did she (Moitra) serially abuse Hindus? What’s wrong with my question? He then repeated the question six more times.

A visibly annoyed guest said, “I answer but you let me do the talking. You talk like a broken record, asking the same thing over and over again. Allow me to make my point.

As soon as the guest started making his point, Goswami again started repeating the same question endlessly. He even justified his action by saying, “Was she a serial offender, was she a serial offender, was she a serial offender? I will repeat the question like a completely scratched record. Was she a serial offender? »

His poor guest finally got around to saying that Moitra’s comments were in bad taste, but the Trinamool Congressman hadn’t made those remarks to ridicule the Hindu faith.

Goswami disagreed and said Moitra mocked Ram Mandir’s donation campaign.

Speaking at an event organized by India Today, Moitra had described Goddess Kaali as a “meat-eating and alcohol-accepting” diet. A case has been filed against her in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh. The Trinamool Congress had distanced itself from Moitra’s comments.
