NEP Worldwide Netherlands equips new suites with custom Module-R consoles

HILVERSUM, Netherlands—NEP Worldwide Netherlands has outfitted its new production facility at its studio headquarters here in Media Park with 10 Custom Consoles Module-R technical control desks—three desks for new sequels and seven dedicated to post-production editing.

Two production control rooms are each equipped with a 23-foot-wide in-line Module-R with a 3U sloped-front equipment module aft of each of its 13 bays. They include a custom section to house a Grass Valley production mixer. Behind each is another 23-foot-wide 14-bay desk, similar in design and positioned parallel to the Module-R consoles at the front of the rooms, the company said.

Three 12-foot-wide, seven-bay line offices provide supporting control facilities. Two audio suites feature a U-shaped Module-R desk, each configured to accept a Lawo audio production control panel, he said.

A 12-foot-wide in-line video switching control desk with seven bays, each offering 3U high equipment modules, was installed in a production control room. The desktop design also supports two groups of camera control panels.

The 10 Module-R desks have matching Marmoleum graphite worktops, gray side panels and silver anodized extruded aluminum legs with black painted floor glides, he said.

“NEP has proven to be a very loyal customer over the years, and we’re very pleased to have been chosen to help equip them for this project,” said Gary Fuller, Custom Consoles Sales Manager.
