RØDE announces a compact all-in-one audio production studio, the Rodecaster Pro II

Whether you are a musician, streamer or podcaster, RØDE hopes to please all creators and tick everything off your checklist of audio needs with their new product, the RØDECaster Pro II. This compact studio and mixer follows the original RØDECaster Pro console from 2018 which aimed to bring together a professional broadcast studio in one easy to use product.

“It was a truly revolutionary innovation, never seen before, and it has had a significant impact on the growth of podcasting over the past four years. When developing the RØDECaster Pro II, we entered into a similar mindset to the original: We wanted to create something truly groundbreaking once again, but this time we focused on all creators, not just podcasters.” says RØDE CEO Damien Wilson. “We designed it from the ground up to deliver unprecedented performance and complete adaptability in any creative application, from gaming and streaming to music production. And, of course, it’s still the most popular podcasting console ever. available. It’s not just an evolution of the RØDECaster Pro. It’s a whole new beast unlike anything you’ve seen before.

The RØDECaster Pro II has impressive features and inputs. Four studio-grade Neutrik® combo inputs allow for more than just connecting microphones. Instruments including guitar, bass, keyboards, and other devices can be connected to these “ultra-low-noise, high-gain Revolution Preamps” to deliver pristine audio quality. The new console eliminates the need for additional boosters, processing and lifts – with an equivalent low input noise level of just -131.5dBV and a whopping 76dB of gain from each input. Eight customizable SMART pads trigger instant effects, jingles, sound effects, send MIDI commands to external hardware and software, and activate mixing actions, such as fades.

A 5.5″ HD touch screen allows you to view and adjust all your inputs and, whoa, are there many input options. Four analog inputs for mics and instruments sit alongside four high-power headphone outputs and balanced ¼-inch line outputs. This allows the user to connect speakers for crystal clear monitoring and playback with ease and control. Two computers or mobile devices can be connected simultaneously via the two USB-C interfaces, with an additional virtual USB channel to allow chat applications to be connected. Advanced Bluetooth connectivity makes it easy to connect and record super high quality phone calls or relay the output to wireless speakers. A microSD slot also allows creators to record directly to a card, in addition to using the USB output to record to a computer or external storage device.

We will have a test of the RØDECaster Pro II in the next few weeks. The RØDECaster Pro II is available for pre-order now and will ship in June. For more information you can go to HERE.
