I make pancakes quite often, at least once a week and sometimes more. They’re easy to make, but I would still end up with a messy kitchen from mixing and pouring the batter into the pan. I wasn’t even looking for a solution to this problem when I found a scrolling TikTok one and immediately bought it.

The Whiskware Pancake Batter Blender is a five-piece set from BlenderBottle, which includes a stainless steel base, bottle, lid, cap and blender ball. Without batteries or a cord, the Dough Mixer is a simple way to mix dough that also eliminates the need for measuring cups, mixing bowls and extra spoons.

Although it may seem like a one-use kitchen tool, the batter mixer is also great for dividing cupcakes.

How it works?

The bottle has a wide mouth with a base that screws and unscrews. You start by unscrewing the base and turning the bottle upside down, lid screwed on. The base also serves as a support for filling the bottle.

Starting with the wet ingredients, fill the bottle according to the recipe you are using. It has measurements printed on the side, which is especially useful for liquid ingredients. I found out that you always have to measure dry ingredients with a separate measuring cup. Once everything is inside, drop the blender ball in.

Screw the base back on and shake the bottle. The mixer ball blends the ingredients as you shake, and in less than a minute you have smooth pancake batter ready to cook.

Slowly unscrew the cap on the lid and you are ready to go. The silicone tip is heat resistant and provides more control than you would normally have by simply pouring the batter into the pan using a measuring cup or ladle. You can make pancakes as big or as small as you want. Whiskware also sells a set with silicone molds and a smaller “art bottle” for pouring shaped pancakes.

The bottom line

The Whiskware Pancake Batter Mixer is a kitchen tool that I’m glad I purchased. I love finding products that reduce kitchen clutter, and this one is no exception. I will continue to recommend them to my friends and family as long as Whiskware continues to make them.
